Barry Chavin


Scope of Professional Services

Barry Chavin is a principal of MLG Capital and sits on investment committee. Barry is also co-group leader of the industrial segment at NAI MLG Commercial and leader of the acquisition team at MLG Development.  He focuses his efforts on the sale and lease of existing buildings, buyer and tenant representation, and the development and marketing of major     business parks.  Barry has been with NAI MLG Commercial since 1989.  His diverse assignments have included everything from site searches for land and buildings to buying, selling and leasing buildings and investment   properties.

Background and Experience

Prior to joining NAI MLG Commercial, Barry had experience in both retail management and property management in the Chicago area. Barry has been with NAI MLG Commercial for more than 25 years. He became a Principal in 1998.  He has experience selling, leasing and acquiring all types of commercial real estate.  Barry has been involved in all aspects of the   development and investment process.


Barry holds a B.S.A. in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin—Oshkosh.   Barry is a member of SIOR.  The Society of Industrial and Office Realtors is the leading professional Commercial and Industrial real estate association.  With about 3000 members in more than 580 cities in 28 countries; SIOR represents today’s most knowledgeable, experienced and successful commercial real estate brokerage specialists.

Professional Affiliations and Designations

Barry is on the Board of Directors for NAI MLG Commercial and is a past Chairman for the Commercial Association of Realtors Wisconsin (CARW), which has a membership of more than 500 commercial real estate professionals.  Barry is a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR),  University of        Wisconsin Alumni Association, Wisconsin Realtors Association (WRA), CARW and Chambers of Commerce throughout the Southeastern Wisconsin area.

Significant Transactions

Barry has received NAI MLG Commercial’s “Sales Associate of the Year” award six times.  This honor is bestowed on the sales associate who achieves the highest sales in a given year.  Over the last several decades, Barry is consistently one of the top producers at NAI MLG.  Barry has     extensive brokerage experience for clients including Harley Davidson, Huffy Sports, Spaulding, Gardetto’s, SuperValu, Bombardier, Marcus Corporation, Briggs & Stratton, Kohl’s Department Stores, Menasha Corporation and CenterPoint.
