Co Founder, Principal
Mike Zimmer is a Co-Founder, Principal, and sits on investment committee for MLG Capital. Mike was instrumental in the development of MLG in 1987 when four men of varied real estate and economic development backgrounds merged their considerable talents and experiences intent upon creating a real estate organization that would overcome common real estate practices. All in order to meet the challenges of today’s markets in a timely and effective manner. Since the founding vision, MLG has grown to include seven entities of which Mike has been an integral part in forming. He is associated with MLG Capital, which structures real estate investment opportunities for accredited investors. In addition, Mike works closely with MLG Management, which offers full-service property management specializing in comprehensive asset, facility and construction management for office, retail, industrial and multi-family properties. Mike is proud to be a driving force in an organization that has built a successful Investment base and has found solutions to challenges that properties face.
Background and Experience
Mike has more than 50 years of experience in real estate investment, development, management and acquisition. Prior to joining MLG, he co-founded Settlement Real Estate, Inc. and Settlement Investments Management Company (SIMC) through which he acquired and managed multi-family residential units, coordinated numerous construction projects and purchased and developed land sites. SIMC is now affiliated with MLG.
Mike earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and additionally has done some graduate work in the areas of Urban Planning & Development.

Mike has previously had professional associations and/or served with the Milwaukee Board of Realtors, Milwaukee Traders Club, Wisconsin Exchange Club, Wisconsin Mortgage Bankers Association, the Board of Zoning Appeals of the City of Wauwatosa, WI., and the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Chapter of Real Estate Securities and Syndication Institute.
