Craig is a Principal and the President of Valiant Residential (MLG’s apartment property management company located in Dallas, Texas), and he sits on the investment committee for MLG. After joining MLG as an Investment Analyst in early 2006, Craig quickly became the Vice President of Investments for MLG, and then a Principal and Executive Vice President – Investments. In his current role, he concentrates on the acquisition of new properties and the asset management of MLG’s existing multi-family portfolio. Craig’s experiences in both the asset management and the acquisition portion of the business has given him an uncommon ability to anticipate post-acquisition developments with respect to properties. In addition, he is knowledgeable about a variety of asset classes and is well-versed in the valuation methodologies appropriate to each of them. Valiant Residential currently provides third-party management services to over 35,000 apartment units, primarily located in Texas, Oklahoma, Florida and Colorado.
Prior to joining MLG, Craig worked for Wells Fargo Advantage Funds as a registered securities representative. Through his experience, Craig gained an intricate working knowledge of the equity markets and the valuations of corporations. He now applies this knowledge in his current role as he values commercial assets and works to create value for investors.
Craig earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance with honors from University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. While in school, he focused his education on Applied Investments and earned his Series 7 and 63 licenses shortly after graduating.
Craig is a member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He also served as Vice President of the Panther City Real Estate Club. In addition, he is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the State of Wisconsin.
