Ryan Ernst

Ryan Ernst is the Vice President of Portfolio Management at MLG Capital, where he oversees the performance and strategic direction of MLG’s real estate investments. He works closely with Asset Management, Acquisitions, Fund Accounting, Investor Relations, and operating partners to evaluate investment performance, develop portfolio strategy, support hold/sell/refinance decisions, and communicate results to investors.

Prior to joining MLG Capital, Ryan led Portfolio Management at Highgate Capital Group, overseeing fund disposition strategy, capital planning, portfolio analytics, investor communications, and valuation processes. Previously, he was part of Waterton’s Portfolio Management team, where he worked across multiple commingled value-add funds and institutional separate accounts. Over the course of his career, Ryan has contributed to the disposition of more than $1 billion in multifamily real estate assets.

Ryan earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a master’s degree in finance from the University of Notre Dame.

Outside of the office, Ryan enjoys golf, swimming, ice hockey, and spending time with his family.

Ryan serves as an Executive in Residence at the Fitzgerald Institute of Real Estate at the University of Notre Dame.
