Jade Hendricks

AVP of Investor Operations

At MLG, we take pride in our approach to our relationships – from our partners to our investors, we believe that building our network has been key to our success over the last 35 years. Our base of investor relationships is one of our most important assets and serving them well is key to growing relationships and maintaining a strong reputation. As the number of our investors have grown from less than 100 to over 2500, we’ve doubled down on the value we place on service and the overall investor experience.

As we’re expanding our Investor Relations team to also encompass investor account management and business development, Investor Operations (IO) is a function that we will continue building over time. The IO team will include general Operations, Compliance and the Private Client Group. The Investor Operations will be your go-to for all serviced-focused inquiries, from subscription processing, capital calls to account updates in the investor portal.

The people that make up our team is our competitive advantage. Not only are there several years of combined experience across multiple industries, but these individuals are also committed to maintaining the “white glove service” that MLG has been known to provide. Let’s dive in and meet the Investor Operation team:

Jade I. Hendricks, Assistant Vice President of

Industry experience: Wealth Management, Family Office, Financial Services

  • What does our commitment to investors look like?
At MLG, we hold our investors near and dear. If you’ve ever learned about our company history, relationships are the backbone of our success, and we take pride in being a relationship-driven company. Investor Operations is a direct extension of that and as our investor base has continued to grow, we’ve been able to maintain that human interaction that can often get lost when dealing with larger institutions.
  • How does IO serve our investor family?
IO is quite literally a phone call away. Our team is always available to answer a question and, if we cannot, we will surely find someone who can.
  • How would you describe our team?
The individuals on our team are energetic and service oriented. In my time with MLG, I’ve never seen an instance in which the team doesn’t go above and beyond for our investors.
  • What does a successful relationship with MLG look like?
I believe longevity is success for us. We strive to produce great results for our investors through our product offerings and client service.
  • What’s your favorite part about working with investors?
I absolutely enjoy connecting with our investors. It allows me to learn about what’s going on in their lives, what they enjoy doing during the summer or that they have family in Wisconsin (if they’re not local investors).
  • What is one fun thing you’d like to share about yourself?
I have a strong passion for empowering the youth through education and exposure, so I’ve been a financial educator and college preparation coach for about 3 years. I also recently launched a scholarship fund for my high school and actively volunteer for SecureFutures in Milwaukee, a nonprofit that teaches financial literacy.

Leslie Huber, Senior Investor Operations Associate

Total experience: 20+ years
Industry experience: Investor Relations, Sales, Marketing, Events

  • What does our commitment to investors look like?
Commitment means being a great resource, always putting your best effort in to assist our investors at whatever stage is needed. If we don’t have the answer, we will find it.
  • How does IO serve our investor family?
IO serves our investor family by being a helpful friendly voice on the phone, or a quick reply via email. Our focus is on assisting with subscriptions, docs and any questions or concerns that they may have.
  • How would you describe our team?
Our team is diverse bunch with various backgrounds and skills. We work together to collaborate and troubleshoot.
  • What does a successful relationship with MLG look like?
    Happy clients, ready to re-invest.
  • What’s your favorite part about working with investors?
My favorite part of working with investors would have to be making the onboarding process as smooth as possible and getting to know them a bit in the process.
  • What is one fun thing you’d like to share about yourself?
In winter of 2000 I was in a production at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, called “Solid Gold Rock & Soul” that featured singing and dance numbers of hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s.

Kasia Wandsneider, Fund Compliance Coordinator

Years with MLG: ~2 years

  • What does our commitment to investors look like?
From a Compliance perspective, our commitment is ensuring that each investor meets SEC accreditation requirements and timely processing amendments or other investment specific requests. This helps us remain compliant and be sure that our investors’ accounts are properly established.
  • How does IO serve our investor family?
Investor Operations oversees the full subscription process, so we’re here to help investors with their paperwork, from start to finish.
  • How would you describe our team?
    Dedicated, knowledgeable, dynamic, and friendly
  • What does a successful relationship with MLG look like?
It means to have investors, new and existing, want to continue investing with us over time.
  • What’s your favorite part about working with investors?
I enjoy providing guidance or answers to their questions, as well as being able to resolve any issues, when they arise.
  • What is one fun thing you’d like to share about yourself?
I grew up in Poland and when I was little, I was terrified of snow! I’ve since grown out of that, since I moved to the US in 2003, but it still makes me laugh today.

Lauren Alioto, Compliance Associate

Years with MLG: 6 months

  • What does our commitment to investors look like? Or What does it mean to you?
I believe our commitment to investors is to assist and support them so that we can provide them with the best experience possible. We work to build secure and trusting relationships with our investors so that they feel and know they’re part of the MLG family.
  • How does IO serve our investor family?
The IO team works to serve our investor family by assisting with paperwork, answering questions, and communicating updates and information from the company. We strive to help our investors solve challenges while also preventing future setbacks they may face throughout the investment process.
  • How would you describe our team?
Our team is a crazy, yet caring group of people who build each other up and support each other while still holding ourselves and each other accountable to work effectively as one.
  • What does a successful relationship with MLG look like?
A successful relationship with MLG is being open and responsive, so we can get to know you and assist you with your investment the best we can while also being comfortable with our team so that you always feel free to reach out for support.
  • What’s your favorite part about working with investors?
My favorite part of working with investors is learning about their stories and who they are as a person. It is always fascinating when we can make connections throughout our conversations. These connections usually lead to thought-provoking advice that only makes the conversation more meaningful.
  • What is one fun thing you’d like to share about yourself?
I was the first intern for the Investor Relations/Operations team at MLG Capital. Through this I was able to learn about this industry, relationship building with our clients and the compliance side of how our investments work. I am excited to join full-time and grow with the team.

Kathleen Pecard, Private Client Manager

  • What does our commitment to investors look like?
MLG is truly committed to our investors! We’ve really raised the bar as far as what is expected of a real estate company. We are very transparent and make sure to detail our investment practices in such a way that if you’re investing for the first time or have made many investments, you’re satisfied knowing you made the right choice with MLG.
  • How does IO serve our investor family?
We have an entire department devoted to the answering of any  questions our investors may have regarding current or past investments along with a very knowledgeable and accomplished team to answer any questions about our new offerings.
  • What does a successful relationship with MLG look like?
I would measure our success by the hundreds of repeat investors! Our combined years of experience, reputation and excellent product offerings have ensured that our clients continue to want to invest with us over and over again.
  • What’s your favorite part about working with investors?
I very much enjoy working with our investors, over the years I’ve met so many wonderful people from every walk of life and parts of the US. Many have let me in on their lives; new additions to family, new careers, new homes, and have turned into friends and not simply clients. I very much enjoy explaining our various Funds and products and helping them find the best product for them and responding to inquiries regarding the many aspects of their investments, from accounting to tax.
  • What is one fun thing you’d like to share about yourself?
I love and collect dragonfly anything…dragonfly’s can be a symbol of self that comes with maturity. They can symbolize going past self-created illusions that limit our growth and ability to change. The Dragonfly has been a symbol of happiness, new beginnings and change for many centuries. The Dragonfly means hope, change, and love.

(December 9, 2024) – MLG Capital, a national leader in private equity real estate investments, today announced that Vice President Nathan Clayberg was named a 2024 Rising Star by Multi-Housing News in the publication’s annual Excellence Awards program. The prestigious annual award honored only two of the industry’s leading young talents across the nation. Clayberg, who joined MLG in 2019, oversees the firm’s fundraising business development team and joint venture acquisitions in the Midwest. In this dual role, Clayberg oversees a team of five working to secure investments for MLG’s private real estate funds while also helping MLG identify and close multifamily real estate deals. He was recognized for both his competency within MLG and his compassion outside of it – in addition to his career responsibilities, Clayberg uses his real estate skill to give back, developing a nonprofit organization that buys and sells homes to families in need at subsidized prices. “Nathan has played a key role in driving MLG’s strategic growth, and his contributions to the firm’s success are immeasurable,” said Tim Wallen, Principal and CEO of MLG Capital. “Both within our office and throughout the community,...
